Baptism

We had Hudson's baptism on Sunday. It was a beautiful day. We were so fortunate that our family and some friends were able to attend. Here were the decorations:

We served hot ham and cheese sandwiches, ranch bow-tie pasta salad, fruit, and cake.

It was a beautiful service. Pastor Gary always does a wonderful job. Kasey and Lisa are Hudson's godparents. Charlie and Brooks both wanted to join us up front.

 Hudson's outfit is the same outfit that my uncle Kevin, my brother Josh, and Charlie have all worn.

After the ceremony, everyone came back to our house for food. Hudson had most of his close family with him.

First Night Away

Corey and I have a birthday party to go to tonight, so Nana and Papa are taking both boys for the whole night. This will be my first night away from Hudson. Here they are all ready to go:

Icky Weeds

Charlie has been such a good helper lately. I was outside pulling weeds this morning. Instead of playing, he comes over and helps me. 

Pool

We went up to the pool last night. This time we took Hudson in the water for the first time. He didn't seem to mind it. He did really enjoy watching Charlie play.

Welcome Home!

We are so glad that Uncle Travis and Auntie Juls are back from California. Even though they will be living in Minneapolis, it is a lot closer and we hope to see them more. It was so great to have them stay with us on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, Charlie kept them up all night :( Please come stay with us again some time.

Hot Puppy

Aaron doesn't like to swim. He will go into the water as long as he can touch the bottom. At Ottertail, the water is so deep that he can't touch anywhere. This weekend it was so hot and humid that he was just miserable. Corey found a solution.

I had a hard time taking the picture because my camera kept fogging up every time I went to take a picture.

Tummy Time

Hudson's head is getting so strong. He is starting to really enjoy his tummy time. 

Pouting

Lately when Charlie doesn't agree with us, he stomps off and pouts. This weekend we had gone over to the beach to play again. He was throwing the sand which was fine until he started throwing it onto the pontoon. I politely asked him to stop. The third time I asked him with a stern voice. He threw down his shovel and stomped down the beach. He plopped down in the sand. The only problem was he sat too close to the water and he kept getting splashed by the waves. I couldn't help but chuckle at him. Needless to say, he did not stay pouting too long because he was getting too wet.

My Baby

Wherever Hudson is, Charlie is right there. He refers to him as "My Baby". He gives him so many kisses that I sometimes have to ask him to let Hudson breathe. Charlie has been a great big brother.

RRVF

Corey and I took Charlie to the Red River Valley Fair yesterday. He was so excited to get Mommy and Daddy all to himself. Hudson stayed with Grandma Cindy for the day. Right when we got there, we found a haybale maze. 

 We checked out all of the exhibits. There was lots of animals to look at. They were having a crowing contest with the roosters.

 We then went to the petting zoo. Charlie loves to feed the animals. He gets right up to them. There were cows, sheep, goats, deer, zebras, camels, and more.

 We then found Charlie some popcorn to snack on while we walked around.

Charlie's favorite part was the Dueling Pirates. It was a acrobatic,diving pirate show. 

At the end, the main character dives 80 feet into 10 feet of water. The guy holds the world's record for the highest dive of 172 feet.

After the pirate show, we got lunch and smoothies.

Charlie wanted to win a blow-up guitar. He played the duck game and won it.
