Yunker Farm

Grandma Cindy wanted to have a special day with just Charlie. She had the whole day planned out.

We met her and they got to play on her playground. Then they went to Fargo. They visited Charlie's great-grandma.

After that Charlie chose Space Aliens for lunch. He was very happy the alien was sick and didn't come out. One of Grandma Cindy's co-workers met them with her 2 boys. They had a great time playing games.

Then they went to Yunker Farm. They had a fantastic time. Charlie's favorite thing was the train he got to ride.

Grandma Cindy spoiled Charlie even more by taking him to Target and letting him chose 2 toys. He picked the Spiderman mask and a Spiderman on a motorcycle.

What a wonderful day they had together!

Beautiful Mornings

Both boys are eager to get outside in the morning. It is the perfect temperature to play. They could stay busy all day.

Hudson loves pushing things around the yard.

Charlie has been playing "Demo Derby" with his cars lately.

Charlie likes to push Hudson in his swing.

Hudson riding his tractor.

And we can't play outside without Hudson mowing the lawn.

The Best $30 Spent

"The Best $30 Ever Spent!"

This is what Papa said after he and Charlie spent all day playing with the tube he got at an auction for $30. It was so fun to see all of the creative things they did with it. They played for a couple of hours just on that tube.

Hudson had more fun hanging out in the sand then playing in the water.

He also enjoyed sitting on the mower even if it was parked.

Charlie also got to shoot a bb gun for the first time.

Goggles at Lake 11

Charlie got a pair of goggles from Papa and Nana. They were perfect for playing down by the lake all day.

We also did some fishing!

We played in the water with the dogs!

We played ladderball!

And we took naps in unusual places!

Rides and Sprinklers

We met some good friends at the Red River Valley Fair. It was a hot and humid day, but we had a blast anyway.

Charlie would never go on any of the rides at the fairs, but if Brooks was willing to go he would also.

The boys went on 5 different rides that day. Charlie's favorite ride was the motorcycles.

The boys and their dads had to try out some games. The dads tried to ring around some pocket knives and Corey won one. Charlie and Brooks both won at the duck pond.

After the hot day, we went back to Kasey and Lisa's house so the kids could cool off in the sprinkler.

4th of July

The boys and I headed to Ottertail Lake on Tuesday night after Charlie finished tball. Wednesday was the 4th. It was extremely hot and humid. We spent the whole day in our swimming suits. The boys had a blast playing outside.

We headed to Charlie's beach to cool off for awhile.

While the boys were taking naps, we had bean bag toss and beersbie tournaments.

My dad made his famous ribs for supper. We enjoyed the fireworks while standing in the water to escape the heat and bugs.

Thursday was very relaxing. We lounged around the cabin. They boys played. We visited some friends. We also went to The Otter for burgers.

On Friday it rained all day. The girls went to Perham shopping. We had an awful experience. It was busy. It took us 2 hours to finally get some lunch. No one found anything worth buying.

We made up for it with a quick stop at The Otter. We won $104 at pull tabs. We wrote some haikus to a creepy kitty. I also participated in my first meat raffle.

Saturday was gorgeous again. Grandma and Grandpa picked up the boys a kiddy pool. We don't have easy access to the lake so we wanted a way for them to play in the water without getting hurt.

That evening we went on the pontoon to Guzzlers for some Island Time. The boys loved the music.

I had to head home early on Sunday for a church meeting, but Corey and the boys stayed down. Charlie rode the jetski for the first time. He was a little nervous, but he did great.

They went for a ride on the pontoon until dark clouds sent them home.
