4th of July

The boys and I headed to Ottertail Lake on Tuesday night after Charlie finished tball. Wednesday was the 4th. It was extremely hot and humid. We spent the whole day in our swimming suits. The boys had a blast playing outside.

We headed to Charlie's beach to cool off for awhile.

While the boys were taking naps, we had bean bag toss and beersbie tournaments.

My dad made his famous ribs for supper. We enjoyed the fireworks while standing in the water to escape the heat and bugs.

Thursday was very relaxing. We lounged around the cabin. They boys played. We visited some friends. We also went to The Otter for burgers.

On Friday it rained all day. The girls went to Perham shopping. We had an awful experience. It was busy. It took us 2 hours to finally get some lunch. No one found anything worth buying.

We made up for it with a quick stop at The Otter. We won $104 at pull tabs. We wrote some haikus to a creepy kitty. I also participated in my first meat raffle.

Saturday was gorgeous again. Grandma and Grandpa picked up the boys a kiddy pool. We don't have easy access to the lake so we wanted a way for them to play in the water without getting hurt.

That evening we went on the pontoon to Guzzlers for some Island Time. The boys loved the music.

I had to head home early on Sunday for a church meeting, but Corey and the boys stayed down. Charlie rode the jetski for the first time. He was a little nervous, but he did great.

They went for a ride on the pontoon until dark clouds sent them home.
