Dinosaur Playland

Charlie is going to be the ringbearer in my friend Jo's wedding. We had to go up to Fargo to get him fitted for his tux. He wasn't so sure about it, so I bribed him with Dinosaur Playland.

Hudson is getting so big. He is becoming such a little man. I just love this picture of him. 

Potato Days

We headed to Potato Days this weekend. We of course had to get some lunch. After that we walked through all the booths. We got to watch some mashed potato sculpting. We then lined up for the parade.

London Visitors

We had a busy weekend at Ottertail this weekend. It was my mother's birthday. We were so excited to spend the gorgeous day with her at the lakes. Of course my camera batteries died before I could get a picture of her with the boys. It was also busy because my sister-in-law Kelsey's sister was visiting from London with her two girls Tamzyn and Neve. We had a wonderful time playing with them. Unfortunately, I came down with the flu later in the afternoon and spent a few hours curled up under a blanket with the chills and a fever.

Hudson's 1st day of daycare

Hudson had his first day of daycare. We are trying a few days before I have to go back to work full-time. We love our daycare provider Lori. I didn't even get teary dropping him off.

Last day for the pool

Summer is slowly coming to an end. Yesterday was the last day the pool was open for the summer. We had Charlie's friend Aaron's birthday and then we headed to the pool.

Jongbloed Family Reunion

We had the annual Jongbloed family reunion on Saturday. Nana and Papa had picked up the boys on Friday night, so Corey and I had a peaceful ride down on Saturday morning. We had to get there by noon to get the food into the garbage can for the big feed. Charlie always has a great time playing in Scott and Maria's big sandbox, playing softball, and eating snowcones.

 Hudson was very popular. Everyone wanted snuggle time with him.

Hudson-3 months

• You wear size 2 diapers.
• You wear 3-6 month clothes
• You still eat 4 oz. at a time. Occasionally you eat 6 even 7 or 8 oz.
• Your teeth began to push up. You were running a small fever last weekend and you try to chew on everything. You haven't been as happy as normal.
• You have begun to talk. You love the sound of you own voice. Anytime someone talks to you, you begin talking back.
• You love your yellow puppy toy. You smile every time it is brought out.
• You sit up with support. You enjoy your Bumbo chair, sitting up in your stroller, etc.
• You can only be held facing outwards. 
• Car rides are still miserable. You cry the whole time.
• You have started to play peek-a-boo.
• You like to scoot. When placed on your back, you will spin 180 degrees. If we sit you in your car seat, you will slide out of it.

Lots of Firsts

We had lost of firsts this weekend. To start, Hudson tried cereal for the first time. He seemed to love it. I couldn't get it in fast enough.

After he ate his cereal, he was a mess so he needed a bath. We didn't have his bath tub here so he had a bath in the sink.

Charlie also had a first today. He went in the kayak with Daddy for a ride for the first time. It was a little wavy so he did get scared but he tried it.

Lounging Outside

Hudson loves to be outside. All of his toys seem to be more enjoyable if he can play with them outside.

Squirt Gun Fight-2

Charlie continued having squirt gun fights back at the cabin with his cousin Cade.

We got down to the lakes for our vacation and we loaded up on the pontoon and headed to "Charlie's beach". There is a public beach that is great to go and play at. While we were there, we took turns having squirt gun fights with each other.

While Charlie was playing Hudson was hanging out on the pontoon.

Then Hudson learned a new trick with his car seat. I guess we can't leave him alone sitting in it anymore:

On the ride home, Charlie was so tired he fell asleep eating his granola bar. 

Chahinkapa park and zoo

We went to the park this morning. We hadn't been there all summer. 

After playing, we went to feed the geese and ducks. We couldn't find any right away, but then after we found a few and started feeding them, they all came out of their hiding.

While Charlie played on the playground and fed the geese and ducks, Hudson hung out in his stroller.

While we were at the park, our friends Renee and Aaron called and asked us to join them at the zoo. Unfortunately, my camera batteries died. We had a great time at the zoo. When we arrived they were training the orangataug. Then we watched them train the bears. They had also given the bears a fish popsicle to eat.
