The Flying Marker

Charlie came upstairs last night at 9:30 after being put to bed. He was carrying his art bag that is full of all his art supplies.  When we asked him what he was doing, he informed us that his hand was blue. He lifts up his hand and his palm and fingers are all colored blue with marker. Here is our conversation

Mommy: What happened to your hand?
Charlie: It is all blue.
Mommy: How did that happened?
Charlie: The marker did it.
Mommy: The marker did it? You had nothing to do with it?
Charlie: No, the marker did it.
Mommy: The marker flew out and colored your hand.
Charlie: Yes.
Mommy: Your other hand wasn't touching the marker as it was doing this.
Charlie: No

The next morning he has cereal spilled all over his bedroom floor. When I asked him what happened, the marker spilled them.

Hungry Boy

Hudson can't seem to get enough to eat. He is a busy, growing boy. We have increased to 2 Tbsp. of cereal and 2 Tbsp. of fruit/veggies at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  It seemed to make a difference today. Hudson has now tried cereal, applesauce, carrots, pears, and sweet potatoes.

The picture is a little blurry but here he is enjoying his supper.

A happy, smiling boy the rest of the evening now that he is finally full again.

Bath Time

Corey thought the boys should take a bath together. I don't think it made the bath process and easier or faster. Hudson didn't know what to think.

Checking Things Out!

This is his favorite view right now. He is so ready to crawl. Even in the middle of the  night, he is flipping over onto his tummy.

This is how I found the boys. Charlie was having a snack before bed. Hudson was determined to see what he was eating.

Bison-Gopher Weekend

We headed to the cities for the big game this weekend. We have made it to every game that the Bison and Gophers have played against each other, so we were so excited to be going again.

The boys were staying with Papa and Nana for the weekend. We dropped them off on the way down to Minneapolis on Saturday.

We stopped at Charlie's in Freeport to eat on the way. We got to Minneapolis and we checked into our hotel the DoubleTree Suites in Downtown Minneapolis. We had to board a bus that took us to the Buffalo Wild Wings across from the stadium. The BWW is in an old firestation. There is also an architecture firm in the building and that is where we were. We had food and drinks on the roof overlooking the stadium.

We then headed over to the game. It was so much FUN! We were sitting by a lot of Gopher fans, but that didn't stop us from cheering during the Bison win!

Corey and I watching the game.

 My parents at the game.

The final score!

Unfortunately after the game, our bus left us. We stood around for awhile until we finally hopped a shuttle back downtown. We had to walk 8 blocks to our hotel. We ended the night with drinks and appetizers at Brit's Pub.

The next morning we got up and met Travis for breakfast at Granite City. We then headed home. We picked the boys up on the way and made it home at a decent time.

Crayon Artwork

I saw this art project on-line and just had to do it.

I hot-glued a box of 96 crayons (taking out the white, black, and brown plus some others) to the top of a canvas.

Then I took a blow-dryer and melted the wax.

Peek-a-boo

Hudson found himself in the mirror today.

Headwater Days

It is Headwater Days in Breckenridge. We started out at the parade and then went to the park for lunch. They had so many activities at the park to do. Charlie loved the bouncy houses. He also shot a bb gun at the Boy Scouts tent.

Charlie and Aaron were very excited for the parade.

 Here it comes!

Charlie was a pro at grabbing candy. We came home with a ton.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day Weekend at Lake 11. On Sunday all of Corey's dad's family came down to the lakes for supper. On Monday our friends Kasey and Lisa came out with their kids Brooks and Claire.

Hudson loves reading (or chewing) on his books.

Charlie enjoyed playing with Claire. He was a little rough with her and kept wanting to tackle her. When I would try to remind him to be careful, he told me to go back downstairs and talk with people.

Hudson loves to be in just a diaper. He has found his feet and can get them in his mouth easier without clothes on.

 Papa reading to both boys.

Bison Game

It was the first Bison game of the year. We did a little tailgating beforehand. Before the game, they always turn the lights off, play music, and shoot of fireworks. Hudson cried through the whole thing. We went and found him some earplugs and they seemed to help.

Can you tell who had a blue sucker during the game?
