Gingerbread House

Charlie and I had wanted to make a gingerbread house before Christmas. When we went looking for a kit, we couldn't find one. Today when I was at Target, they had 2 kits left over on clearance. I snatched one up quickly and Charlie and I put it together tonight. 


He was interested right away and had fun picking out where the candy was going. After a while I told him he couldn't eat any more frosting before bed, and suddenly he wasn't so interested anymore. 

Company

We had company last night. Corey, Kasey, and Lisa have been watching American Horror Story. We decided to watch the finale all together so there whole family came to spend the night with us. We went for supper at The Wilkin. When we got home, the kids played for awhile. Then after they went to bed, the adults got to watch the show.

Nice Weather

We have been having such nice weather for December that we needed to get outside and enjoy it.

Christmas 2011

Wow! I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone. We had a wonderful Christmas. Both boys were so much fun to watch. Charlie is really getting into all of the Christmas traditions. He loved all of the anticipation that went into it. Hudson loved all of the lights and decorations. 


We started our Christmas on Christmas Eve by heading to my parents house in the morning. Josh and Kelsey were there also. We started by having an amazing brunch. Mom had make a peach fondue with french toast sticks to dip in. She also made quiche, muffins, and lots of other goodies. 

After brunch, we opened stockings and gifts. The boys were spoiled. Some of Charlie's favorite gifts were his Bison uniform, legs, and hot-wheels race-track. Hudson got lots of clothes and an elephant that shoots out balls.

We then left and headed to Fargo. We stopped at Corey's grandma's house to visit quickly. The boys each had a gift to open again. She tried to stuff us with food like she always does.

After that, we went to my grandparent's house for the evening. We always have an assortment of appetizers and then soup later. We played a white elephant game and had a good laugh. The boys were getting really tired by the end of the night.

Hudson and Grandma

On Christmas morning, Santa had arrived. Both boys had slept in after the busy day before. We woke Hudson up and then we went to wake Charlie. When we reminded him that Santa had come he flew out of his bed. They checked out their Santa gifts, and then they opened their gifts from Mom and Dad. After the boys finished opening their gifts, Charlie asked where our gifts are. I responded that we didn't get any gifts this year. Charlie said, "Daddy, you can share my basketball and Mommy, you can share my shark attack." What a precious boy!

After opening gifts and breakfast, we headed to Papa and Nana's house. We opened gifts as soon as we got there. The boys were spoiled again. Hudson got a remote control car that moves when he shakes his rattle. Charlie got a portable DVD player and Cars II. After we opened gifts, lots of family showed up for lunch. We had a blast playing with all of the kids.

On the 26th, we went to my uncle Kevin's and aunt Kathy's house for Christmas. We had a delicious Prime Rib dinner and spent some quality time together.
